President Obama confirmed to a WMUR of Manchester, NH that Vice President Biden would be his running mate for 2012, insisting that his gaffe prone running mate “could not have been a better Vice President.”

When asked by the anchor who his running mate would be, Obama responded. “He’s a guy who’s name is Joe Biden, who’s been at my side for every tough decision that I’ve made. He could not have been a better Vice President.”

As Vice President, Biden forced President Obama to reveal his position on gay marriage in May, which angered the president’s staff and admitted that he advised President Obama not to launch the Navy SEAL mission that killed Osama bin Laden.

Biden has also been the Obama administration’s gaffe machine, famously declaring in 2009 that the United States had to spend money to avoid going bankrupt, stealing Obama’s thunder after a mic picked up his “BFD” comment, and declaring that the mission to kill bin Laden was the “most audacious plan” in 500 years.
