LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — President Barack Obama's former campaign chief and a political reporter will visit the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to talk about the 2012 presidential campaign.

Former Obama campaign manager Jim Messina and political reporter Jeff Zeleny will speak April 5 at 4:30 p.m. at the Nebraska Union. This free event is open to the public.

Messina orchestrated Obama's 2012 re-election campaign. He will discuss campaign strategies and how technology helped Obama win a second term. Messina played a critical role during Obama's first term and the passage of the Affordable Care Act and economic stimulus package.

Zeleny covered the 2012 presidential campaign for the New York Times and will join ABC News this month. Zeleny, a UNL alumnus, has covered four presidential races, Congress and the White House.
