CHENANGO BRIDGE, N.Y. (AP) — State police say they’re investigating damage caused to three vehicles by rocks being tossed onto a New York highway from an upstate railroad overpass.
Troopers say someone threw railroad ballast onto Interstate 88 and a nearby road between 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday in the Broome County hamlet of Chenango Bridge, just north of Binghamton.
Police say three vehicles sustained damage but no one was injured.
State police in Binghamton are requesting anyone with information about the incidents to contact them.
Last month, state police charged two teenage boys with throwing rocks off a Thruway overpass outside Albany and damaging five tractor-trailers. No one was injured.
