“Some things are worth losing your job for,” the main character John Thomas (played by actor Charles S. Dutton) says in this new movie trailer for “The Obama Effect.”

The movie, billed a comedy, explores the life of an African-American man who suffers health problems but finds new inspiration in life from the candidacy of President Obama, and features a soundtrack by Obama supporter Cee Lo Green.

In the trailer, the character quits his job, and dons Obama themed gear to promote Obama’s candidacy, spreading the campaign’s message to his friends and family.

“Anybody who is in the Obama campaign is gonna be all right,” John announces as the music in the trailer swells.
