As President Obama concluded a Google Hangout yesterday, an expecting couple asked him a lighthearted question about whether they should name their expected daughter Eleanor or Alice.

Obama refused to weigh in, reminding them that if the couple chose a different name than he preferred, the child would grow up saying that the president didn’t like her name.

“The main thing is, tell either Eleanor or Alice not to forget to be awesome,” Obama said, and jokingly added. “If its a boy and you want to name him Barack, that’s fine.”
