DENVER (AP) — A day after his first debate with GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney in Denver, President Barack Obama is rallying supporters in Denver.
Obama told the crowd at Sloan's Lake Park on Thursday that he's looking forward to a chance to talk about foreign policy in an upcoming debate. He said he carried through on his promise to end the war in Iraq and said al-Qaida was on the road to defeat.
After a decade of war, he said it was time to put people to work at home.
The Obama campaign is working hard to register voters before Tuesday's registration deadline in Colorado.
Will.i.am will head to Boulder and Fort Collins later in the day to encourage college students to register. The campaign is also launching an RV tour that will continue through Tuesday.
