WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama will host Italian President Giorgio Napolitano next month at the White House.

In an announcement Wednesday, the White House described the Oval Office meeting scheduled for Feb. 15 as a "farewell call." Napolitano, who speaks fluent English, is preparing to end his term in office after seven years.

The White House statement said Obama looks forward to reinforcing the "strong and enduring bonds" with Italy during the visit.
