President Obama issued a new policy Wednesday, that for the first time expressly states that the United States should not sell military equipment to countries so unstable that they might ultimately turn the weapons against America or her allies. Obama's new "presidential directive" is an update of a Clinton administration policy directive from 1995, that aimed at setting written guidelines for sales of US military hardware overseas. However, White House spokesman Jay Carney says America will continue to supply Iraq.
