President Obama gave another statement regarding the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict on Thursday, saying that the international community has come together to “condemn this violation of international law.”

Obama, who earlier this morning signed an executive order outlining a “framework” of sanctions against Russian individuals responsible “for violating the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Ukraine,” although no specific individuals were named.

“In 2014, we are well beyond the days when borders can be redrawn over the heads of democratic leaders,” Obama said, clarifying that any discussion about the future of Ukraine must include the government of Ukraine.

Obama also said that if Russia does not end the violence, the U.S. and it’s allies “will remain firm.”

I'm sure Russian President Vladimir Putin is scared.

Bonus: White House press secretary Jay Carney also wouldn't say whether Putin would be an individual included in the sanctions, despite the Russian president clearly being behind the situation.
