Obama slammed for celeb status

Sure, he can carry a tune and he can slow jam the news with Jimmy Fallon, but is America better off with a "celebrity president"? That's what the Karl Rove-backed American Crossroads is asking voters to consider with their latest video attacking President Obama — showing a series of clips of the president singing, dancing, and otherwise acting "cool" followed by facts about student loan debt and unemployment among recent college grads — in the end asking viewers, "After four years of a celebrity president, is your life any better?" Those watching may get a case of déjà vu, however, as Sen. John McCain tried the same tactic in a 2007 ad showing images of then-Sen.

Obama alongside footage of Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, calling him "the biggest celebrity in the world" and asking, "but is he ready to lead?"
