Pollster John Zogby reports in our weekly White House report card that President Obama still has an edge over Republicans in Congress.

"One week to go before sequestration and we are still no closer to a deal, with the president worried further spending cuts will cause stagnation and the GOP concerned Obama wants more taxes. The one thing both sides used to agree on was that automatic cuts would be a disaster.

Now only the Democrats are saying that. So where do we stand? The president's approval numbers are healthy, Congress's are terrible, and the GOP in Congress are even worse. A new poll shows that 49 percent are prepared to blame the GOP, 31 percent the president, for sequestration. Someone will have to blink and it really doesn't have to be Obama. The government is maintaining its reputation of haggling and partisanship, but the president is still winning."
