WASHINGTON (AP) — President Barack Obama plans to take a break at his presidential retreat beginning this weekend.

Obama will travel to Camp David in western Maryland on Saturday and remain there through Tuesday.

It follows a momentous week that included the Supreme Court's decision to uphold Obama's health care law, a split decision by the nation's high court on Arizona's 2010 immigration law and a House vote to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in criminal and civil contempt for refusing to turn over documents related to a bungled gun-tracking operation.

The Obamas' daughter Malia turns 14 on the July 4 holiday. The Obamas plan to celebrate Independence Day with military families at the White House with a barbeque, concert and view of the fireworks from the South Lawn.
