< p>ROMULUS, Mich. (AP) — President Barack Obama has ended a brief visit to Michigan, where he pushed for Republican congressional approval of his tax plan and repeated his opposition to the state GOP's move to approve right-to-work legislation.

Hours after arriving, Air Force One tool off Monday afternoon from Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Romulus.

While in the state, Obama spoke to workers at the Daimler Detroit Diesel plant in Wayne County's Redford Township.

Obama praised a $100 million investment at the plant that was announced during his visit while criticizing Michigan Republicans' push for right-to-work legislation.

The state House and Senate approved the legislation Thursday and are moving to give it final approval this week.

Right-to-work backer Gov. Rick Snyder was among the dignitaries who greeted Obama when he landed at Detroit Metro.
