"And I, in the past, thought about getting a Mohawk myself, but my team keeps on discouraging me."

-- President Obama, speaking about the popularity of the "special Mohawk Guy" (real name: Bobak Ferdowski) who worked on the Curiosity Mission Operation on Mars last week. During his remarks to NASA's Mars science laboratory on Monday, Obama added that now that Ferdowski had "received marriage proposals and thousands of new Twitter followers, I think that I'm going to go back to my team and see if it makes sense."

The president also complimented the scientists for their improved fashion. "It does sound like NASA has come a long way from the white shirt, black dark-rimmed glasses and pocket protectors," he said. "You guys are a little cooler than you used to be."
