President Obama spent a chunk of Election Day playing hoops with a squad of politicos and athletes. According to one hoopster, former Illinois state treasurer and 2010 U.S. Senate candidate Alexi Giannoulias, the two teams played four 12-minute quarters. Referees were on hand to call fouls.

Obama acted as player-coach of his team, which included Giannoulias and NBA great Scottie Pippen. The other team included Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, Marty Nesbitt, and Randy Brown.

Giannoulias, who told the White House press pool that he scored more points than Scottie Pippen ("which was my dream come true"), said that the president "played very well." Obama's team claimed victory, winning by "like 20."
