The World Series champion Boston Red Sox heard a lot of praise of “Boston Strong” and the “Red Sox Nation” at the White House on Tuesday, but in the end, President Obama, a Chicago White Sox fan, wasn't wishing the world champs another victory.

“May the best Sox win” is how Obama ended his speech on the South Lawn, the event to reward the sport’s 2013 winners. Then, to a reporter’s question, he added, “The White Sox next year!"
