BOSTON (AP) — A charity that has been raising funds for victims of the Boston Marathon bombings has a new chief.
The One Fund Boston says Lori van Dam is its first executive director. She is charged with leading and expanding efforts to help those most affected by last April's explosions that killed three people and wounded more than 260 others.
Van Dame took her new post on Tuesday. She was recruited when Kenneth Feinberg left his position as administrator after the One Fund Boston Fund collected and distributed nearly $61Million in 75 days to more than 230 people.
Van Dame previously worked as a marketing and strategic consultant. Before that, she was president of CC Newco LLC, a venture-backed company that was working to create an international au pair program to provide companionship and household support to seniors.
