VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) — A boarding school in Nigeria is getting help from Operation Blessing International.
The Virginia Beach-based relief group says the school is located in the same region in northeastern Nigeria as another school where Boko Haram militants kidnapped more than 300 girls on April 15.
Operation Blessing says the school it is helping closed in April following the kidnapping. Classes resumed last week.
The group says in a news release that it has provided razor wire for the school compound's perimeter wall. It also has donated rice, oil, milk powder and sugar for student meals.
Operation Blessing says it also has provided books to start a library at the school, along with new computers.
