Who: Kevin Concannon, Undersecretary for Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services for the United States Department of Agriculture

What: Concannon helps oversee the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), which Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., is probing following reports of widespread food stamp fraud by retailers overbilling the government by as much as $750 million per year.

Why It’s an Outrage: Issa noted in a letter to Concannon that “at least 137 merchants have been disqualified [from SNAP]” but allowed to continue participating anyway.
