In preparation for the “Obama Billion” of the 2012 campaign, we must prepare ourselves against feel-good campaign sound bites. So, here are 10 New Years resolutions for sustaining the republic
* Eliminate the czars:
Czars are in direct violation of the United States Constitution. Unelected officials who are unaccountable to the American public are making too many decisions.
Question: What do you intend to do about the czars?
Obamawatch: Obama will blame the “do-nothing Congress,” validating his alienation of the legislative branch and the unprecedented power given to unelected officials creating illegal regulations.
* Seriously tackle the debt:
Our $15 trillion debt is the biggest threat to our national security and our liberty. Buzzwords and phrases like "payroll tax cuts" and "doc fixes" are continuations of "feel-good legislation."
Question: Are you willing to define and expose the buzzwords?
Obamawatch: Obama’s political sound bites will defy the truth.
* Buck the entitlement trend:
The new mentality in America that the government owes us our “life, liberty and pursuit of happiness” contradicts what our Declaration of Independence meant and means. America and the American soul are going to hell in a handout.
Question: Are you willing to tackle the entitlement mentality?
Obamawatch: “Spread the Wealth Around.” Create un-American class warfare.
* Privatize Social Security:
Wake up and smell the scam. Social Security is obsolete. The government is robbing Peter to pay Paul. Social Security should be privatized for upcoming generations. Why won't Big Daddy let go and let the people handle their own retirement money? Power. Control. Manipulation. Is this liberty?
Question: Will you privatize Social Security for younger generations?
Obamawatch: Social Security is your entitlement and only the government is smart enough to handle it for you.
* Restructure Medicare:
Good intentions gone wild. What started as a well-intentioned idea has turned into a monster. Medicare is unsustainable, unstable and is crashing the financial server.
Question: How will you restructure Medicare?
Obamawatch: Classic manipulation. Paint the Republicans as callous.
* Repeal Obamacare:
The biggest reason to reverse Obamacare is to look at the Medicare debacle. The government bureaucracy is incapable of coping with the crisis. The treasury cannot sustain the demand. Obamacare is abominable.
Question: What is your solution for the uninsured who insist on free healthcare?
Obamawatch: Taxes. Free healthcare is the responsibility of the wealthy.
* Take the Iranian threat seriously:
Iran's mission to destroy America is based on religious doctrine. It is a centuries-old conflict. It is dangerous, serious and real, and it won’t subside. The emerging rulers of the Arab Spring may fuel the fire.
Question: What are your preparations for a nuclear attack from Iran?
Obamawatch: Israel is the problem.
* Utilize our natural resources:
Becoming energy independent is vital. The Keystone XL pipeline should be built. Lizards in west Texas should not be an issue. Iran's threat to the Strait of Hormuz provides the writing on the oil.
Question: Are you a lizard or a lion regarding energy independence?
Obamawatch: Green energy is the responsible action.
* Educate with reason:
America’s youth must be taught the founding principles of our country, the history of why they were created and why it's relevant today. Is it any wonder that most American students polled think socialism is the best form of government?
Question: How will you instill constitutional reasoning in schools?
Obamawatch: Unions know best
* Secure the border:
It is fodder for the history books. Terrorist and drug dealers are infiltrating our country through a porous border that is criminal on the part of the administration. The enemy is in the field, our field.
Question: How will you enforce our borders?
Obamawatch: Securing the border is inhumane. It’s the states’ fault.
