WEST MONROE, La. (AP) — West Monroe High School is launching a new program for teaching science, technology, engineering and math.
The "MagnaTech" program is the latest addition to Ouachita Parish's largest high school.
The recently completed building at West Monroe High combines the latest technology with new learning environments catering to the way today's students learn. Configurations of MagnaTech classrooms can be changed as needed to encourage interaction between students and teachers.
The News-Star reports (http://tnsne.ws/12jUbRV) that in the building's robotics, engineering and fabrication rooms, students are already building robots and conducting chemistry experiments.
