INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — The Indiana Pacers have signed forward Dominic McGuire to a 10-day contract.

McGuire is a 6-foot-9, 235-pound forward who has played with six teams during his six-year NBA career. He played nine games earlier this season with the New Orleans Hornets where he averaged 2.1 points and 3.1 rebounds.

McGuire was Washington's second-round draft pick in 2007, No. 47 overall.

The move comes one day after Indiana released forward Sam Young. The four-year veteran averaged 3.6 points and 2.9 rebounds in 28 games this season. They also have recalled first-round draft pick Miles Plumlee from the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA's D-League.
