Campaigning in Colorado today, Paul Ryan noted that Democrats struggled to re-insert the word ‘God’ into their party platform.

“They reversed course on that one yesterday although it wasn’t a very popular reversal if you watched it on the TV,” Ryan said with a chuckle. “But to quote a prominent journalist from Wisconsin, they were against God before they were for him.”

Ryan was referring to a joke made by Politico’s Jim VandeHei on Morning Joe this morning. VandeHei was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
