House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., revealed some interest in surrendering her spot at the helm of the House Democrats if her party does not take control of the chamber this fall.

“I do have quite an active schedule,” Pelosi said when asked at the Politico Playbook breakfast what she would do if Democrats remained in the minority next year. “It’d be nice to see how others could do it, too.”

But that was only one part of her answer. “That really is up to my caucus,” she said.  “It was my goal after the last election to take us back to a place where we’re poised to win. I believe we can do it this time. It’s not about me.”
