James Bond's latest love interest will reportedly be played by the Spanish Oscar winner Penelope Cruz. The actress, who is currently pregnant with her second child, has been courted before for the part, but has never been available because of other commitments. Deadline reports that discussions for the role have been going on for some time. After the success of Skyfall, which also featured Cruz’s husband Javier Bardem as a blond cyber-terrorist, producers immediately started writing the 24th Bond film, with Daniel Craig slated to star. If everything works out, Craig’s leading lady will take the title as oldest Bond girl which has been held by Honor Blackman who was 39 when she portrayed Pussy Galore in Goldfinger. It’s also been reported that James Bond producers are also hoping to woo Adele, who won the Oscar for the Skyfall theme.
