Six months after the terrorist attack on Benghazi, the Obama administration is still keeping lawmakers in the dark on critical details about the the attack, Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y., told Fox News’ Megyn Kelly on Tuesday.

King described the confusion over the simple question of how many Americans were wounded in the attack. Several reports have circulated, suggesting anywhere from one to 30 individuals were wounded, King said.

“We’ve gotten almost no straight anwers on any issue at all involving Benghazi,” he said, adding, “From day one, going back to September 11, there’s been story after story, there’s been obfuscation after obfuscation, and they just refuse to come out with what the facts are. And that’s why there’s been so much confusion — and it’s unfair, in addition to everything else, it’s unfair to the men and women who put their lives on the line at Benghazi.”

On Friday, Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., wrote a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry requesting information on who was wounded. But neither the State Department nor the Defense Department have provided Wolf with information, even though Kerry told Fox News he has visited with a victim at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

“I can tell you that I have visited with one of the survivors at Bethesda hospital, who is a remarkably courageous person, who is doing very, very well,” Kerry said.

King said today the administration is more involved in covering up Benghazi details than on bringing to light what happened and pursuing justice.

“If you recall, the president the morning after, on September 12, he said they were going to bring these people to justice as quickly as possible, then he went off campaigning,” he said. “It just appears this administration is not focusing the way it should. Which again, when you’re involved in so many different— I can only call them cover-ups— over the last six months, I think these things are bound to happen.”
