PINEVILLE, La. (AP) — Consumer products giant Procter & Gamble expects to complete expansion of the workforce at its Pineville detergent plant this summer.
The Town Talk reports (http://townta.lk/Y3zWQj ) the Cincinnati-based company announced plans in November to downsize its plant in Augusta, Ga., and consolidate production of dry detergent at the Pineville plant. The move will add 50 jobs to the Louisiana facility.
P&G spokesman Dennis Wimmert said the first group of new hires will start this month. He said all new hires should be in place by the end of June.
