One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision near Andrews Air Force Base, police said.

About 3:35 a.m. Tuesday, a tractor-trailer was struck in the rear by a pick-up truck on Dower House Road near Old Pike Way in Upper Marlboro.

A passenger in the pick-up truck was killed, and the truck's driver was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Prince George's County police spokesman Cpl. Larry Johnson said. The tractor-trailer's driver was not injured.
