CNN host Piers Morgan wasted no time after Pope Benedict XVI announced his resignation on Monday to hint that the pontiff might not be revealing the real reasons behind his resignation.

The 85-year-old pope said in his announcement he is resigning for health reasons, but Morgan is skeptical.  He tweeted, “As a Catholic, I’m not buying this. Popes don’t just quit because they’re tired. What’s going on here??”

Soledad O’Brien, also a CNN anchor, quickly jumped on the bandwagon, responding, “@piersmorgan: As a Catholic, I’m not buying this. Popes don’t just quit because they’re tired. What’s going on here??”/ I agree. Why?”
