Prince William County police are seeking information about three youths who were involved in the assault of a 11-year-old boy.

About 3:20 p.m. Friday, police went to the 18000 block of Purvis Drive in Triangle. The victim told police that he was walking home when he was approached by three unknown boys. The 11-year-old was assaulted by two of the boys and was chased to his home, police said.

Once at the victim's home on Purvis Drive, the victim's mother tried to intervene, police said. However, one of the attackers pushed past the woman, grabbed her son and threw him to the ground. The group of juveniles then fled. The victim did not require medical treatment.

One of the juveniles was described as a black male, 15-to-16 years old, 5-foot-11 and 120 pounds, with a thin build. The second was described as a black male, 13-to-14 years old, 5-foot-5 and 140 pounds, with thin build. The third boy was described as a black male, 12-to-13 years old, 5-foot-5 and 130 pounds, with a thin build.

Anyone with information can call 866-411-TIPS (8477).
