McLEAN, Va. (AP) — Fairfax County police say two 14-year-old girls have reported that they were grabbed and sexually assaulted by a man in McLean this week.

Police say the girls were walking on Chain Bridge Road when they saw a man run across the street and hide behind bushes in a church parking lot Monday afternoon. As the girls walked down Davidson Road, police say the man walked toward them and wrapped his hands around of the waist of one of the girls. Authorities say when the other girl tried to free her friend, she too was grabbed.

Police say the girls told them that the man touched both of them appropriately.

After the girls screamed and a dog began barking, the man ran north on Chain Bridge Road. .
