A pickup truck driver died after a single-vehicle crash in Prince George's County, police said.

Shortly before 8 p.m. Monday, 60-year-old Ira Hill was driving a 2005 Ford F-150 on Brandywine Road near the intersection with Hickory Bend Drive in Clinton. The vehicle left the road and hit a pole, police spokesman Cpl. Clinton Copeland said.

Hill was taken to a hospital and died Tuesday morning. There were no passengers.

Alcohol appears to have been a factor in the crash, Copeland said, and police are investigating to determine if speed was also a factor.
