71-year-old Capitol Heights woman murdered

Police are looking for the person who killed a 71-year-old Capitol Heights woman.

Prince George's County officers on Saturday found Geraldine Joyce McIntyre with "trauma to the body." She was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police described a potential assailant as a black male between 30 and 45 years old and 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slim build and a dark complexion. Officials believe he may have been wearing a dark brown or black leather jacket, black skull cap and black pants.

McIntyre lived on the 1200 block of Chapel Oaks Drive in Capitol Heights.

Two stabbed outside U Street nightclub

A fight outside Patty Boom Boom, a nightclub on U Street, Saturday night left two people with stab wounds.

One of the victims, a woman who tried to break up the fight, was stabbed in her side and then drove herself to the hospital, according to D.C. police. The other victim was stabbed in the shoulder and the abdomen. Neither injury was life-threatening.

Police are on the lookout for a 5-foot-9 black male with a light complexion, stocky build and a beard. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, an orange sweater and a dark colored beanie.

Four juveniles receive felony charges after short-lived escape

Virginia police officers captured four juveniles who escaped from a local detention center.

Prince George's County police apprehended the four youths who escaped from the Crater Detention Center, according to a report by the Associated Press.

The juveniles allegedly broke into a residence, whose owner had gone out of town.

The four juveniles fled the detention center Saturday night and remained at large for less than 24 hours before they were apprehended Sunday morning. All four were charged with felony escape.
