Salvadoran child-sex fugitive in N.Va. deported
A Salvadoran man who fled to the United States to avoid charges of sexually assaulting children under his care was found in Northern Virginia and has been deported back to his home country.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials arrested 37-year-old Jose Mauricio Huezo-Ortega at his home in Falls Church in September 2012.

Authorities say he fled to the U.S. in 2009 to avoid charges stemming from the sexual assault of five minor children under his care of the Love and Hope Children's Home in San Salvador. Huezo-Ortega was sent back to El Salvador on Monday.

Prince George's strip club closed after shooting
Prince George's County police have shut down a District Heights strip club after a robbery and shooting at the adult entertainment business.

Police said Marcus Antonio McCray shot a man several times during an early Wednesday robbery in the parking lot of the Stardust Lounge on the 5400 block of Marlboro Pike.

The victim remains in critical condition. McCray, 30, was arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder and related charges.

Police on Friday ordered the Stardust closed, pending the outcome of an appeals hearing. The business also was operating without permits, police said.

77-year-old fatally burned in space heater accident
Authorities have identified a man who was killed at a Temple Hills fire as 77-year-old George Lee White.

According to Prince George's County fire officials, White suffered serious burns over most of his body Friday afternoon when his clothing came into contact with "torpedo-style" kerosene space heater and ignited.

White was working on a car at his home on the 5900 block of Rayburn Drive. He was taken to a hospital, where he died Saturday morning.
