Second man charged with murder in body dump

A man suspected of dumping a body on a Woodbridge street was arrested Tuesday morning, Prince William County police said.

Douglas Hernandez, 25, of no fixed address, was charged with first-degree murder in the death of 47-year-old Barbaro Lupe Alonso-Iraola, police said.

On Jan. 15, a resident spotted Alonso-Iraola's body in front of his home on the 15000 block of Cardin Place and called police. Alonso-Iraola had sustained trauma to his face caused by a blunt object and a knife, police said.

Authorities suspect that Hernandez and Juan Carlos Flores pulled up to the block in a white van, dumped Alonso-Iraola's body on the road and left the area. Flores was arrested and charged with murder shortly after the slaying.
