Police in both Loudoun and Fairfax counties have arrested a suspect who fled from officers early Sunday after reportedly robbing a nearby home.

Fairfax County police gave chase until the suspect crashed their car shortly after crossing into Loudoun County at the intersection of Algonkian Parkway and Hardwood Forest Drive. The suspect then fled from the accident on foot, police said.

Officers from both counties then launched a search for the suspect, who was later found and apprehended in Herndon, officers said. Details of the arrest and charges were not immediately available.
