A female University of Maryland student was robbed by a masked gunman near the school's College Park campus, police said.
About 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, the student was walking on Paint Branch Parkway near Rhode Island Avenue when she was approached by the robber.
The man showed a handgun and demanded money. After the student gave the robber money, the man fled on foot, Prince George's County police spokesman Cpl. Clinton Copeland said. The victim was not injured.
