A man, woman and young child were found dead Tuesday morning in a murder-suicide, Calvert County officials said.
The three were discovered after police received a call about 8:30 a.m. from an anonymous caller reporting a domestic disturbance at a two-story home in the 18000 block of Candlelight Court. The home sits in an affluent neighborhood in Owings.
Calvert County officials said they believe 32-year-old Frank Hayward shot his wife, Cynthia, 31, and daughter, Natalee, 2, and set a fire before turning the gun on himself.
A 12-year-old child who lived at the house was taken to a hospital with burns and cuts around his neck.
Sheriff's officials did not have a motive for the shootings.
