Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 28-year-old Northeast D.C. man found in a vehicle on Capitol Hill.

Officers discovered Jason Anthony Emma sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle in the 1200 block of C Street NE at about 2:15 a.m. Monday. He had been shot several times, police said.

Emma was pronounced dead at the scene by the medical examiner's office.

Police did not have any definitive motive or suspects Monday afternoon. They are looking for two men who may have been seen leaving the scene, heading eastbound on C Street, D.C. police Commander George Kucik said.

The men were described as black males with heavy builds who are 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, police spokesman Officer Anthony Clay said. One of the men was wearing a white T-shirt with dark sleeves.

"We are really seeking information from the public, if anybody saw or heard anything," Kucik said. "We don't have a lot of information on the case right now."

Kucik said that the neighborhood where the homicide occurred does not see many shootings.

Two people died after being shot early Saturday morning in the 1100 block of Bladensburg Road NE -- a little over a mile away from where Emma was found -- and one of those victims was also found inside a vehicle. However, Kucik said that police do not have any information linking the two incidents.

Anyone with information can call police at 202-727-9099.
