Alexandria police are looking for a masked man who robbed a Wells Fargo bank in Old Town.

Police say the man walked into the Wells Fargo bank branch at 330 N. Washington St. at approximately 9:23 a.m. on Nov. 24, brandished a knife and demanded money from a teller.

The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash before the robber left.

No one was injured during the robbery, according to police.

Police described the culprit as a man, approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall with a medium build. Security footage from the bank shows the man wearing a red-and-white hooded sweatshirt with stripes on the arms, dark pants and dark gloves.

Most noticeably, the man wore a mask with a white face and fake blood smeared on the cheek and eyes.

Anyone with information about the case or anyone who recognizes the robber is asked to call Detective Sean Casey with the Alexandria police at 703-746-6853 or the police Criminal Investigations Section at 703-746-6711. Witnesses can remain anonymous.
