Police are looking for the culprit in an armed bank robbery at a Central Virginia Bank branch last month.
On Aug. 22, a man entered a branch at 2500 Promenade Parkway in Chesterfield County outside Richmond at about 11:30 a.m., police said. The robber pulled out a gun after approaching a teller and demanded money, police said. He left the scene on foot. No one was injured during the incident, police said. The man left the bank with cash, but police wouldn't specify how much money he made off with.
Police described the man in question as a black male, about 5-foot-6 and weighing between 140 and 160 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He also sported a red mask that covered his face.
