Fairfax City police have released photos of a sport-utility vehicle that might have been involved in a hit-and-run that critically injured a pedestrian.
On June 15, Mohammad Esaw Jabour, 33, was walking on the sidewalk on Fairfax Boulevard at Warwick Avenue when he was struck by a vehicle traveling east on Fairfax Boulevard. Jabour was thrown more than 50 feet into a parked vehicle, police said.
The striking vehicle was a white 1999 or 2000 Toyota RAV 4 with a black wheel cover over the rear-mounted spare tire. The SUV in the photo was possibly the striking vehicle and was captured by cameras on Fairfax Boulevard at the time of the incident.
