Police stun school worker after alleged attack

ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — Arlington County Police say officers shocked a school cafeteria manager with an electronic device after she allegedly told police she had a gun and reached toward her back.

It happened Wednesday morning at Barcroft Elementary School. Police say the cafeteria manager got into an argument with an administrator. Officers say the administrator left the area, but returned to check on the manager, and that's when the manager grabbed a knife.

Police arrived, and officer say the cafeteria manager told police she had a gun. An officer used a stun device to subdue her.

Authorities say the woman was taken to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
