PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) — The Coast Guard is undergoing a command change for the Port of Virginia.

Capt. John Little will relieve Capt. Mark Ogle as the commander of Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads on Friday.

Among other things, the commander is responsible for the Coast Guard's port security, search and rescue, and law enforcement. The area of responsibility for the sector includes Virginia and the Atlantic Coast of Maryland.

Ogle's next assignment is the chief of future operations for the Coast Guard Atlantic Area command in Portsmouth.
