We haven't heard much from Pras since the '90s, but these days the "Ghetto Superstar" rapper and former member of the Fugees is throwing his cash into politics.

According to the Sunlight Foundation, Pras, whose last name is Michel, donated $250,000 last month to the Black Men Vote super-PAC. So far, he's the sole donor to the organization. The group, in turn, spent around $180,000 on radio advertisements in support of President Obama, according to the foundation and the FEC report.

Black Men Vote has been described primarily as a get out the vote effort, focusing on black men ages 18-34 living in the swing states of Ohio and Virginia. "Collectively this population can have a tremendous impact on the election and has the most to lose by staying at home," the super-PAC's website advises.
