PRCC receives 3 grants totaling $159,689

POPLARVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Pearl River Community College received $159,689 in grants from the Lower Pearl River Valley Foundation that will go toward three departments.

The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/16NDbCg ) most of the money, $150,000, will be used for a nursing-simulation lab that will give students more hands-on experience. The PRCC Wellness Center will receive $5,762 for preventive health and classroom enhancements, and $3,927 will help modernize physiology experiments in the anatomy and physiology labs.

PRCC President William Lewis said the grants will enhance the learning opportunities for students.
