Predators claim Butler off waivers from New Jersey

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — The Nashville Predators have claimed forward Bobby Butler on waivers from the New Jersey Devils.

Butler is on a two-way contract worth $525,000 at the NHL level and $105,000 on the AHL level. The Predators announced his acquisition Monday.

Butler, 25, had a goal and an assist in 14 games with New Jersey this season. He also had 16 goals and 11 assists in 37 games with the Devils' AHL affiliate in Albany. He has 17 goals and 22 assists in 108 career NHL games with Ottawa and New Jersey.
