President Obama concluded his State of the Union address Tuesday evening by sharing a story of wounded Army Ranger Cory Remsburg, who was present for the speech.

Obama explained that Cory was nearly killed by a roadside bomb in Afghanistan and was in a coma for months. After relating his difficult recovery, Obama pointed out Remsburg in the crowd.

"Cory is here tonight. And like the Army he loves, like the America he serves, Sgt. 1st Class Cory Remsburg never gives up, and he does not quit," he said.

Members of Congress jumped to their feet and gave Remsburg a powerful sustained standing ovation.
