After President Obama delivered a speech calling for more gun control, he demanded that Congress should “do the right thing” by passing more gun laws.

Obama was joined during the press conference by four children who had written to the president calling for more gun control.

Obama concluded the press conference by signing executive orders – exchanging high fives and hugs with the children who joined him on stage.

“I intend to use whatever weight this office holds to make this a reality,” he said during his remarks about 23 executive actions aimed at gun control, school security and mental health care.
