President Obama’s weekend address is a Thanksgiving message to the American people, wishing them a happy Thanksgiving from the Obama family.

“For us, like so many of you, this is a day of family friends food and football, It’s a day to fight the overwhelming urge to take a nap, at least until after dinner,” he said.

Obama reminded Americans of the “passionate and noisy” presidential campaign focusing on what “sets us apart instead of what ties us together.”

“Thanksgiving is a chance to put it all in perspective,” Obama added. “To remember that in spite our differences that we are and always will be Americans first and foremost.”
